FAQs

We understand that you may have lots of questions to ask about choosing your wedding dress, even before your appointment at Signature Brides!  So we have collated a few helpful Q&As here, but if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to call or email us.  We’re here to help!

When should I start looking for my wedding gown?

You should ideally order your gown six to nine months before your wedding.  If you are planning to lose weight before your wedding, it is still a good idea to order early.  Any alterations required do not have to occur until four weeks before your wedding.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Appointments are highly recommended to ensure that choosing your gown is a wonderful experience.  However, if you happen to be passing we would love to meet you and will always try to accommodate you. Sunday or evening appointments are available by arrangement.

Who should I bring to my appointment?

You are welcome to bring all the important people in your life.  We understand that deciding on your perfect gown can be daunting without support from your family and friends, but if you can limit yourself to a couple of key people then your experience will be a lot more enjoyable!  It is hard to hear your own voice when you are focused on pleasing too many other opinions – remember it is your dress and you need to love it!

How much can I expect to spend on my gown?

Our Ronald Joyce designer gowns range from £895 to £2000.  We also have a collection of sample dresses which start from £495.

At your appointment you can tell us how much you’re comfortable spending and we can show you a variety of beautiful gowns to meet your needs.

What happens after I choose my dress?

On choosing your perfect dress, we require a 50% deposit.  We then ask that you pay the remaining 50% when your dress arrives.  It it likely that your gown will need a few tweaks.  Alterations can be carried out by our seamstress at an additional cost. Finally it is time to become a Signature Bride on your wedding day – don’t forget we want to see photos!
